Israel Police has announced its preparations for the Rachel's Tomb pilgrimage, which will take place today (Wednesday) and tomorrow in the area of the Tomb of Rachel. As part of the preparations, operational plans were approved by the Jerusalem District Commander, Superintendent Avshalom Peled, in order to enable the safe conduct of the pilgrimage and maintain the safety of participants. Police forces, Border Police fighters, and volunteers will deploy widely at activity centers and nearby routes. From today at 15:00 until 02:00, and tomorrow between 12:00 and 24:00, central routes will be blocked to traffic, including the Rosemary Junction from Begin, the turn from Route 60, the Ma'ale Darga route from Har Homa, and the entrance to the Tomb of Rachel from the Rosemary Junction. Additionally, streets in the Teddy complex area will be closed. For the public's convenience, a shuttle service will operate from the Teddy Stadium area to the pilgrimage complex and back. The police recommend that participants park near the stadium and use the shuttles, avoid arriving by private vehicle to the blocked areas, stay updated via the Waze app, and follow police instructions.
