This is the team established to raise awareness of the sexual violence committed by Hamas

Michal Yaniv, former head of the Foreign Relations Department at the National Security Council, revealed that a national team was established to raise awareness of Hamas's sexual violence on October 7. The team worked with decision-makers worldwide, exposed intelligence materials, and applied pressure for the release of hostages. Yaniv emphasized that after the hostages are released, the story is theirs.

Michal Yaniv, former head of the Foreign Relations Department at the National Security Council, revealed for the first time in an interview with the program "Seven Questions on October 7" that a national team was established to address the issue of Hamas's sexual violence. The team worked to pressure international actors to raise awareness of the issue. As part of the team's activities, it became clear that there were dozens of scenes of sexual violence incidents on October 7, at various levels, as well as sexual abuse of hostages during their captivity. Yaniv explained that the main activity was political, not media-oriented, among decision-makers worldwide, while exposing intelligence materials that the State of Israel did not want to reveal publicly. She emphasized that after the hostages are released, the story is theirs. Yaniv, a former Shin Bet spokesperson for 17 years, said she was shocked by Hamas's violent and horrific policy, which included systematic use of sexual violence unprecedented in its scope.
