Nine suspects have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the shooting at the Prime Minister's official vehicle in Ashkelon. Among those arrested: Shalom Domrani and his son, Ron Chamias, Elyakim Faouda, and Matanya Assayag. Seven of the suspects have been released, and only Eliran Tzaida and Elias Shlomo, suspected of belonging to the Eliran Revah group, remain in custody. The incident occurred on the night between October 1 and 2, when reports were received of a suspicious Skoda vehicle and later of a Skoda with four suspects arriving at a checkpoint along with a Mazda vehicle. The police argued in court that the investigation is in its early stages and that releasing the suspects could disrupt it. The Magistrate's Court ordered the release of some suspects, and the police appealed. The investigation is ongoing.
