The High Court of Justice will hear tomorrow (Tuesday) a petition by the Democrats party to attach Shin Bet security to party chairman, Maj. Gen. (res.) Yair Golan. The petition was filed against Shin Bet chief David Zini, the ministerial committee for Shin Bet affairs, and the Government of Israel, after police defined the threat level against Golan as high – level 4 out of 6. Attached to the petition were examples of hundreds of threats directed at Golan, including after the interview of Sara Netanyahu. The advisory political committee refrained from recommending security, and the ministerial committee passed the decision to the Shin Bet chief. In tomorrow's hearing, the state will be required to present its position through the head of the High Court department in the State Attorney's Office and Shin Bet representatives. The hearing is expected before a panel of judges headed by Justice Yitzhak Amit.
