262 protests in 37 countries: A wave of demonstrations worldwide around October 7

The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism published a special report describing 262 pro-Palestinian protest events in 37 countries between October 1 and 14, 2026. 87 events are classified as medium or high risk. The US leads with 45 protests, followed by Spain (40), Australia (21), the UK (19), and Italy (16). Peak activity is expected on the weekend of October 10-11, with 121 events. 45 events are expected near Israeli embassies and assets.

According to the report, 262 protest events were identified in 37 countries between October 1 and 14, 2026. 87 events are classified as medium or high risk. The US leads in the number of events with 45 planned protests, followed by Spain with 40 events. Australia recorded 21 events, the UK 19, and Italy 16. Germany and Canada each recorded 14 events, France 10, and the Netherlands 8. Peak activity is expected on the weekend of October 10-11, with 121 events (46% of the total). On October 10, 96 events are planned, and on October 7 itself, 75 events. 45 events are expected near Israeli embassies, consulates, or assets, 30 of them within a range of up to 2.5 km. The report notes high-risk hotspots in Canada (4 events), Greece, Italy, the US, and Australia (2 each).
