"They want to sabotage the elections" - former heads of security forces raise alarm

Karadi directly accused Jewish extremists in Judea and Samaria of trying to drag the IDF into a large-scale operation, which would become a legitimate reason to cancel the elections. Ya'alon called them "pogromists" trying to ignite a war. Pardo added that the threat also comes from Turkey, where attempts are being made to create a state of war to postpone the elections. The Forum of Protest Organizations launched a website to collect warnings from public figures concerned about politically motivated escalation.
