Parents' outcry outside the courthouse: "We saw videos of atrocities"

Parents of toddlers from the "Quality Time" daycare in Ra'anana protested outside the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court ahead of a third hearing on extending the house arrest of three suspects in abuse cases. The parents said they watched videos allegedly documenting severe violence against their children, including infants as young as six months old.

Parents of toddlers from the "Quality Time" daycare in Ra'anana gathered today (Wednesday) outside the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court, ahead of a third hearing on extending the house arrest of three female staff members suspected of severe child abuse. The parents protested and cried out, claiming they were exposed to videos allegedly documenting serious acts of violence against their children, including infants aged six months and even younger. One parent said: "We saw videos of atrocities. We are thankful that our daughter is alive." According to the parents, the three suspects are not ordinary assistants but leaders of three groups at the daycare: the nursery, the young group, and the older group. The parents claim the scope of harm is greater than estimated but are prevented from elaborating due to the investigation. They criticize the daycare management for allegedly inadequate handling of past complaints. The parents await the court's decision.
