The Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court today (Monday) extended for the sixth time the arrest of Yigal Boskila, a 19-year-old from Jerusalem, suspected of kidnapping a 10-year-old boy from Petah Tikva about two weeks ago and taking him to Bnei Brak. Judge Oren Boaz rejected the defense's request to release Boskila to house arrest. Police representative Yaniv Hindi stated in the hearing that the investigation indicates the suspect held the child in a shelter and prevented him from leaving, and the child cried. Boskila's mother requested his release to her home custody, stating that her son comes occasionally, asks for money, and sleeps in shelters. Since his arrest, two additional complaints have been received: one concerns two minors in Hadera whom the suspect allegedly harassed and threatened, and the second concerns a minor in Arad regarding whom he is suspected of threats and possession of a knife. In the next hearing, the police are expected to submit a prosecutor's statement regarding the prosecution's intention to file an indictment.
