The corruption affair in Kfar Saba - the opposition accuses: "We warned"

Opposition leader in Kfar Saba, Hadar Lavi, claims she warned about corruption in the municipality long before the arrest of Mayor Rafi Sa'ar and his wife. Lavi describes rumors, signs, and irregularities in the municipality's conduct, including extensive involvement of the mayor's wife, and calls for strengthening oversight and checks and balances in local authorities.

Opposition leader in the Kfar Saba City Council, Hadar Lavi, claims that she and her faction members warned for years about corruption in the municipality, long before the arrest of Mayor Rafi Sa'ar and his wife on suspicion of bribery. In an interview with 103FM, Lavi says that rumors about the unusual involvement of the mayor's wife in the municipality's affairs were widespread, and that council members approached various bodies — legal counsel, treasurer, press, Ministry of Interior, and State Comptroller — but to no avail. According to her, the lack of checks and balances in local authorities enables corruption, and she calls for justice to be served. Lavi emphasizes that despite the serious suspicions, Rafi Sa'ar is innocent until proven guilty.
