Shock in Yemen: Houthis crushed amid cries of 'Allahu Akbar' (VIDEO 18+)

Yemeni government forces, backed by Saudi armored vehicles, have launched a counteroffensive against the Houthis, pushing them from their positions amid cries of 'Allahu Akbar'. The coalition has regained control of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which had been in rebel hands for two weeks. The ground breakthrough was preceded by an air operation involving about 100 fighter jets. However, experts note that the Houthis retain the ability to strike ships with missiles and drones from deep within the region.

Yemeni government forces, with the support of Saudi armored vehicles, have launched a fierce counteroffensive against Houthi formations. The fighting is accompanied by cries of 'Allahu Akbar'. According to 'Kursor', the coalition has restored control over the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which had been in rebel hands for about two weeks. The ground breakthrough was preceded by a powerful air operation: the coalition deployed about a hundred combat fighter jets, after which Houthi forces abandoned their positions. For Riyadh, control of the strait is a matter of 'life or death' due to its role in global trade and regional security, as well as a way to limit Iranian influence. However, eliminating the physical presence of the Houthis at the strait does not fully solve the problem: militants can strike ships with missiles and drones from deep regions—Sanaa, Hodeidah, or Hajjah. With the strait's width up to 39 km, the corridors for large tankers are narrowed to just over three kilometers, making vessels vulnerable. Meanwhile, the US military has established protected routes in the Strait of Hormuz. Global oil exports from the Middle East have returned to pre-war levels—about 18 million barrels per day.
