Settlement escalation and Israeli measures target lands and homes in the West Bank

Settler attacks and Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank escalated on Tuesday, targeting Palestinians, their property, and agricultural lands, alongside a threat to evacuate a residential building in Salfit ahead of its demolition. In Ramallah Governorate, over 200 settlers attacked the outskirts of the town of Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya east of the city early Tuesday, under the protection of occupation forces, smashing more than four vehicles and two homes before residents confronted them and forced them to withdraw. In Silwad northeast of Ramallah, settlers attacked the town under military protection, seizing dozens of heads of cattle belonging to three Palestinians and damaging property in several homes. In Jenin Governorate, occupation authorities issued two military orders to remove plants and olive trees from Palestinian lands, one targeting 178.71 dunams and the other 128.77 dunams. In Salfit, occupation forces notified residents of an 18-story residential building containing about 80 apartments to evacuate it ahead of its demolition. Local sources reported that occupation forces stormed Salfit with several vehicles, including two armored vehicles. The building owner said the building had been sold and he was no longer solely responsible, clarifying that the notification was not issued in the official legal format.
