Search for missing person at sea in Ashkelon, two others drown, their condition serious and light

Three people drowned at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon. Two were rescued: a 24-year-old man in serious condition and unconscious, and a 17-year-old boy in light condition. A third man who entered the water with them is still missing, and searches for him continue at sea and along the shore.

Three people drowned today (Friday) at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon. Rescue forces extracted two of them: a 24-year-old man in serious condition and unconscious, and a 17-year-old boy in light condition. Both were evacuated to Barzilai Hospital in the city. A third man who entered the water with them has not yet been located, and searches for him continue at sea and along the coastline, led by Ashkelon police officers and additional emergency and rescue forces. The report was received at the MDA hotline at 18:34. MDA emergency medic Yaron Kafah described the incident: they arrived with a dedicated 4x4 ambulance, provided medical treatment including assisted breathing for the 24-year-old, and evacuated him in a mobile intensive care unit. The police called on bathers to obey lifeguard instructions and avoid entering the sea at unregulated beaches or in dangerous sea conditions.
