Rom Breslavsky: "They refused to invite me to speak at the national memorial ceremony"
Held captive survivor Rom Breslavsky harshly attacked the memorial ceremony of the Kumo movement, claiming they repeatedly refused his request to speak at the ceremony and commemorate his security team members who were murdered at Nova. Breslavsky defined the event as a political ceremony, in response to a post by former footballer Gil Vermouth.
Held captive survivor Rom Breslavsky launched a sharp attack against the national memorial ceremony of the October 7 families and the "Kumo" movement, scheduled to take place tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7, 2026) at Yarkon Park. Breslavsky claimed that his repeated requests to speak at the ceremony and commemorate his security team members who were murdered at the Nova party were met with refusal. His remarks were written in response to a post by former footballer Gil Vermouth, who shared the list of media outlets that will broadcast the ceremony and asked "guess which is the only channel not broadcasting the ceremony and why," referring to Channel 14. Breslavsky replied: "Because they didn't invite him. Because it's a political ceremony." He later added: "So political that they refused me (again and again) to speak and commemorate my security team members who were murdered at Nova." The article quotes only Breslavsky and does not include a response from the ceremony organizers.
