The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 409 attacks carried out by occupation forces and settlers against olive farmers, their trees, lands, and agricultural equipment during the period from October 1 to 21. Among them, 317 attacks were carried out by settlers and 92 by the occupation army. The commission said in a statement issued on Thursday that the tally reveals the expansion of attacks accompanying the season and the multiplicity of methods used to disrupt harvesting and deprive Palestinian families of their crop. Nablus Governorate recorded the highest number with 166 attacks, followed by Salfit with 91, Ramallah and al-Bireh with 69, Jenin with 36, Hebron with 30, Qalqilya with nine, Bethlehem with five, and Jerusalem with three attacks. The commission monitored 287 attacks directly targeting farmers, including 149 cases of intimidation, 50 assaults, 29 cases of movement restriction and denial of access, 18 arrest incidents during harvesting, 15 incidents of detention inside olive fields, 14 incidents of pepper spray and grenade attacks, and 11 incidents of gunfire. The toll included the death of citizen Ali Hassan Bazari from the town of Burqa northwest of Nablus on October 7. In parallel, the commission documented 122 attacks targeting trees, lands, and equipment, including 57 thefts of olive fruit, 23 cases of confiscation and theft of agricultural equipment, 12 cases of olive tree vandalism, 11 cases of cutting and uprooting, and seven cases of arson on olive-planted lands. The commission affirmed that these attacks threaten the safety of farmers and are used to drive them off their land, stressing that protecting the season requires ensuring farmers' access to their lands, stopping attacks, and holding perpetrators accountable.
