The settlers conducted provocative tours in the mosque's courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals, while the forces tightened measures on worshippers' entry and confiscated the IDs of some of them at the gates. This escalation comes two days after the widespread stormings that Al-Aqsa witnessed on Sunday and Monday, coinciding with the so-called Jewish 'Yom Kippur', where 1,678 settlers stormed the mosque and performed collective prayers, prostrations, dancing, and horn blowing, with the participation of ministers and officials in the occupation government. The Jerusalem Governorate warned against the continued imposition of these practices inside the mosque, stressing that they target the existing historical and legal status quo and aim to impose new facts in one of the holiest Islamic sanctuaries. These stormings come amid calls from settler groups to intensify them during the Jewish holidays.
