MK Oded Forer (Yisrael Beiteinu) was interviewed this morning (Tuesday, September 22, 2026) on 103FM, about a month before the elections. Forer harshly attacked the Netanyahu government, calling it "the most failed in the State of Israel since its establishment," claiming that under its tenure the greatest massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust occurred. He was asked directly about the suitability of his party chairman, Avigdor Lieberman, for the position of prime minister, and replied that Lieberman has the most extensive security, political, and economic experience among the leaders, and that he is the only one who foresaw October 7 and warned against it. Forer claimed that Lieberman demanded the elimination of Sinwar in 2017 and Netanyahu opposed it, and that Lieberman resigned from the cabinet in 2018 in protest of the policy. Forer further accused the government of allowing trucks and fuel into Gaza while Hamas trains for "the next October 7." Forer expressed confidence in "the expected upheaval" and the victory of "the serving bloc" over "the shirking bloc."
