Qassem to "Filastin": Al-Hayya outlined Hamas's national strategy

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem confirmed that statements by the movement's political bureau chief Dr. Khalil al-Hayya during a televised interview with Al-Araby TV outlined Hamas's clear strategy in the national arena, prioritizing stopping the aggression on the Strip. Qassem added to the newspaper "Filastin" that al-Hayya clarified the extent of flexibility Hamas shows in dealing with the issue, considering stopping the aggression a supreme interest for a people that has suffered genocide for three years, and the role of mediators in this context. He noted that al-Hayya stressed the need to provide relief to the Palestinian people, in the face of obstacles set by the occupation, including continued violation of the agreement and its rejection of the agreed roadmap with Nikolay Mladenov, ongoing daily killings, closure of crossings, travel bans, and disruption of international forces and the technocrat committee in Cairo. On internal matters, Qassem indicated that al-Hayya affirmed Hamas's commitment to building a Palestinian house on democratic and pluralistic foundations, away from exclusion and unilateralism, and showed great flexibility and readiness to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, because serious comprehensive national dialogue is the entry point for rebuilding the Palestinian political system. He stressed that al-Hayya's call is important in this national path, and his emphasis on the joint alliance that could form a nucleus for joint national work by moving from a temporary electoral alliance to a common ground.
