The October Council, which brings together bereaved families and former hostages, has announced the memorial and protest actions marking three years since the October 7 massacre. The events will span a week, beginning on the eve of Simchat Torah, October 3, with the opening of the memorial exhibition "The Space That Remains" at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. On Wednesday, October 7, a series of actions will take place across the country: a moment of silence at 6:29 AM, "wake-up" protests outside the homes of ministers who were part of the government on October 7, the "Path of Abandonment" convoy from Caesarea to Tel Aviv, the Women's Protest exhibit at Trumpeldor Beach, and a one-minute memorial rally at hospitals, high-tech companies, and organizations. The central memorial ceremony organized by the families will be held at 9:00 PM at Ganei Yehoshua in Tel Aviv and will be hosted by former hostage Eli Sharabi. The October Council stated: "Three years after October 7, this day must not become just another date on the calendar." The council demands the establishment of a state commission of inquiry immediately upon the formation of the next government. The exhibition "The Space That Remains" will display personal items of the murdered, including the balance bike of Ariel Bibas, the beret of observer Roni Eshel, and the camera of ynet photographer Roee Idan.
