Professor accused of planning attacks against Israeli Arabs: "I am normal"
Professor Shahar Nevo, accused of planning attacks against Israeli Arabs, claimed in court that he is normal and does not require a psychiatric evaluation. The judge accepted his request. Nevo pointed a finger at Moshe Feiglin and Uri Melamed.
A hearing was held this morning (Sunday) at the Central-Lod District Court regarding Professor Shahar Nevo, accused of planning attacks against Israeli Arabs. During the hearing, Nevo claimed he is sane and does not need a psychiatric evaluation, stating: "I was normal, and I am normal, I am sure I don't need a psychiatrist." Judge Eliana Danieli accepted his request and ruled that he should not be sent for an evaluation against his will. Nevo pointed a finger at two others, saying: "There are two people who should be here before me. Moshe Feiglin and Uri Melamed. These two are the most extreme on the right." Nevo's attorneys agreed to the existence of prima facie evidence and grounds for detention. The indictment reveals that Nevo planned a large-scale program called "A.Y.T." (With God Will Make Transfer), involving 72 Jewish terrorists divided into 12 terror cells, to attack mixed cities and Arab villages.
