Son Har-Melech accuses IDF of setting fire to an outpost. That is, a Palestinian home that settlers had invaded
MK Limor Son Har-Melech accused the IDF of setting fire to a house in the "Nachalat HaNavi'a" outpost, claiming that holy books and tefillin were burned. An investigation revealed that the house belongs to a Palestinian, and the settlers had invaded it. Residents claim that the settlers themselves set fire to the property after the army left.
MK Limor Son Har-Melech accused the IDF of setting fire to a structure in the "Nachalat HaNavi'a" outpost, claiming that personal property, holy books, and tefillin belonging to "Hilltop Youth" were burned, and demanded an investigation and the dismissal of the responsible commander. An investigation by "The Hottest Place in Hell" revealed that the house belongs to Tawfiq Shwiki, a resident of East Jerusalem, and that the settlers Son Har-Melech came to defend are squatters who took over the property about a month ago. Shwiki said: "They have been sitting in the house since the day they burned Tubaasi's house." Area residents gave conflicting accounts regarding the circumstances of the arson; one claimed that after the army left, the settlers burned what remained inside. The incident occurs against the backdrop of an ongoing conflict surrounding a siege imposed by settlers on the nearby Tubaasi family home, High Court intervention, and repeated clashes between settlers and security forces in the Shilo area.
