IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir appointed attorney Zana Modzgvrishvili, the former chief military prosecutor, to head the unit for prosecuting Nukhba terrorists. The appointment is part of the preparations for the trials of the terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre.
Three years after the October 7 massacre, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir appointed attorney Zana Modzgvrishvili, the former chief military prosecutor, to head the unit for prosecuting Nukhba terrorists. Modzgvrishvili served in the IDF for 22 years, held positions in the Military Advocate General's Corps, and in her last four years was the chief military prosecutor. Previously, she served as a military judge. After completing her service in 2013, she was selected for the role of investigator complaints investigator at the Shin Bet within the Ministry of Justice. The appointment does not constitute the opening of a trial or the filing of an indictment, but rather determines the identity of the leader of the unit, as part of the preparations for proceedings against the terrorists who participated in the attack.
