"Popular Front" Condemns Peace Council Conference Outcomes and Warns of Double Standards

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemns the outcomes of the Peace Council meeting in New York, accusing it of ignoring Israeli massacres in Gaza and providing cover for aggression. It warns against focusing on the weapons file and bypassing the root of the crisis, namely the occupation, and against hints regarding the international force's involvement in activities beyond its mandate.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the outcomes of the Peace Council meeting held in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. The Front accused the Council and its speakers of ignoring the massacres that the Israeli occupation continues to commit in the Gaza Strip, considering that this provides cover for the continuation of the aggression despite the ceasefire agreement. The Front warned, in a statement, against bypassing the root of the crisis, namely the Israeli occupation and its ongoing aggression, and portraying the Gaza crisis as a governance or security issue that can be addressed through reconstruction and digitization plans. It condemned limiting the Council's discussions to the weapons file, considering this a reversal of the ceasefire agreement and UN Security Council Resolution 2803, and warned of attempts to empty the resolution of its content. It also warned of hints in the speech of the international force commander regarding its involvement in activities related to neutralizing weapons, considering that this exceeds the text of the agreement and the mandate specified within the framework of stability and field separation. It called on mediators and Arab and Islamic countries to declare a clear position on the attempts of the team that includes Jared Kushner, Steve Witkoff, and Tony Blair.
