Popular drug leaves Israeli with severe disability — lawsuit

A lawsuit has been filed against manufacturers of minoxidil-based drugs and the Israeli Ministry of Health. The plaintiff claims that after using a hair product, he developed severe disabilities, including skin damage, systemic disorders, and loss of ability to work. Attorney Ran Shapira represents the man, who, according to him, has completely lost the ability to work as a trainer.

In Israel, a lawsuit has been filed against the companies Trima and Padagis, which produce minoxidil-based drugs, as well as against the Ministry of Health. The plaintiff, a man identified as S., claims that after using a popular hair product, he developed severe disabilities. According to the lawsuit, S. began experiencing hair loss that spread to his eyebrows, eyelashes, beard, and body. Later, systemic symptoms appeared: weakness, pain, rapid heartbeat, blood pressure changes, and metabolic disorders. Doctors diagnosed 'minoxidil dependence.' Professor Moti Ravid determined a total physical disability of 60%, and a psychiatrist determined 50% with complete loss of work capacity. The plaintiff is seeking compensation of at least 2.5 million shekels. The manufacturers and the Ministry of Health have not yet filed objections.
