The weapon was captured as part of a widespread police operation in the Judea and Samaria region. During the operation, a Carlo rifle was also seized in the village of Beit Omar, a hunting rifle in the village of Fasayil, and ammunition and M16 parts in the Shuafat refugee camp. Several suspects were arrested for illegal possession of weapons. Additionally, about a week ago, Kan News reported that security forces are preparing for high tensions during the upcoming olive harvest in Judea and Samaria, which will begin in about a month. A military source said that the security establishment is preparing with plans and increased forces to allow Palestinians to harvest everywhere, even if settlers try to disrupt the process through violence. The source added that they will act to enable the harvest.
