Four foreign workers caught with drugs worth millions of shekels

Officers from the Ayarot station and National Guard fighters seized approximately 2 kg of crystal methamphetamine in a vehicle on Route 40, with an estimated value of about 3 million shekels. Four foreign workers from Thailand, in their 30s and 40s, were arrested at the scene.

In a proactive operation by officers from the Ayarot station in cooperation with National Guard fighters of the Southern Border Police, approximately 2 kg of a substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, with an estimated value of about 3 million shekels, was seized today (Thursday) in a vehicle on Route 40. According to the suspicion, the vehicle had arrived in the southern region to collect a large quantity of drugs and was heading north when it was stopped. Four suspects, foreign workers from Thailand in their 30s and 40s, were arrested at the scene and transferred along with the exhibits for further investigation at the Ayarot station. The commander of the Ayarot station, Chief Superintendent Yahav Siman, stated that the seizure is the result of focused activity and cooperation between the forces, and declared the continuation of operations against those involved in drug trafficking.
