The Police Internal Affairs Department (Mahash) has updated that as of now, 18 complaints have been filed regarding police violence during Haredi protests, following difficult videos that were circulated from the protests in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Beit Shemesh. Among other things, a video from Beit Shemesh documented Haredi protesters in a playground while several protesters were injured, including a young man who was seriously injured and suffered amputation of toes on his foot due to the throwing of stun grenades. The protests erupted following the arrest of a deserter's groom. On the other hand, the police stated that during a violent disturbance, rioters threw stones and objects, set fire to trash cans, and caused damage to infrastructure, and that two young men were injured by a concrete block that fell on their legs. The police emphasized that they would allow legitimate protests but would not tolerate violent disturbances.
