Pentagon in Dramatic Move: Is the Truth About UFOs About to Be Revealed?

The Pentagon has for the first time authorized current and former government employees to disclose classified information about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). A special legal waiver will allow them to provide details without fear of punishment. The move aims to promote transparency on the issue, in line with the policy of US President Donald Trump.

The Pentagon announced a dramatic step that will allow military personnel, civilians, and contractors, past and present, who were bound by secrecy regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), to legally share this information with the government. A new legal waiver has been created specifically for this purpose, allowing the disclosure of national security information related to UAPs to official representatives of PURSUE – the Presidential System for UAP Encounter Disclosure and Reporting. The PURSUE system, established by the administration of US President Donald Trump, will serve as the authorized channel for information transfer. The new decision overrides any existing non-disclosure agreements, and the move is intended to create a pathway for reviewing and even reclassifying documents related to UAPs. The current decision expands upon a previous directive from July, in which the Trump administration ordered the Department of War and the intelligence community to allow former employees to contact AARO or PURSUE. According to the new decision, those who contact PURSUE will not be punished, will not have their security clearance revoked, and will not face sanctions. US President Trump has repeatedly stated that he is skeptical about the existence of extraterrestrial life but has demanded transparency on the issue. The release of recent UAP files revealed that government employees witnessed a triangular-shaped UAP near Colorado Springs in 2023. While the decision opens the door for government personnel to report, it remains unclear whether the Pentagon has plans to investigate the vast number of UAP reports from the general public.
