The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority stated that the prisoner struggled through her pregnancy without any healthcare, proper nutrition, or safe environment. The Authority held the Israeli occupation authorities and prison administration fully responsible for the life of the prisoner and her newborn, describing her detention while pregnant and transfer to administrative detention as a crime violating all international norms and laws. The Authority emphasized that forcing the prisoner to give birth inside prison constitutes a double crime violating all human values. It accused the prison administration of treating female prisoners with brutality and questioned the continuation of what it described as "organized terrorism" without international action. The Authority noted that Jouda spent six months in administrative detention and will be released on Tuesday after her detention order expires. According to the Palestinian Prisoner's Club, over 9,400 prisoners are held in occupation prisons, including 370 children and 92 women, amid rights reports of torture and medical neglect.
