According to intelligence information, Bik directly oversaw the captivity of 15 Israeli hostages, both living and deceased, throughout the war, and was a key figure in the organization's kidnapping and concealment mechanism. The list of hostages includes Mia Shem, Hisam Asead, Shani Louk (deceased), Amit Bouskila (may God avenge his blood), Uriel Baruch (may God avenge his blood), Cpl. Nick Beiser (deceased), Sgt. Ron Sherman (deceased), Eliya Toledano (deceased), Michel Nisenbaum (deceased), Staff Sgt. Tamir Nimrodi (deceased), Yitzhak Gelernter (deceased), Eitan Levy (deceased), Hanan Yablonka (deceased), Ron Benjamin (deceased), and Orion Hernandez (deceased). Bik, one of the founders of the Nukhba unit, held a series of senior positions and on the morning of October 7 commanded the murder squads and even physically participated in the raid on the Gaza border communities. Concurrently, the IDF carried out a series of targeted eliminations of additional Nukhba terrorists in the Strip, including Muhammad Jamal Mahmoud Abu al-Shaar, who raided Kibbutz Be'eri and participated in the kidnapping of the Haran-Avigdori-Shoham family. The IDF emphasizes that all operations were carried out using precise munitions and continuous aerial surveillance to minimize civilian harm.
