Three residents of the Kiryat area were indicted for breaking into the apartment of a lonely woman who died in 2018, and hiding weapons, drugs, and counterfeiting equipment inside. Meir Assulin (23) from Kiryat Bialik, Shahar Sa'adiaev (39), and Elad Sanderovich (33) from Kiryat Ata were charged today (Sunday) at the Haifa District Court. According to the indictment, Assulin and Sa'adiaev broke into the apartment on several occasions and placed in the kitchen cabinet a loaded gun with a magazine containing 16 bullets, cocaine, and cannabis. During police activity, the gun and magazine were replaced with dummy items, and the drugs were substituted with a non-drug substance. A few hours later, the three returned to the apartment carrying an additional loaded gun with three bullets, and hid it in the cabinet as well. Additionally, they hid 11 counterfeit 100-shekel bills and raw materials for counterfeiting coins. At Sa'adiaev's home, two presses weighing 40 and 75 tons for producing coins were held. In another charge, Assulin and Sa'adiaev are accused of extorting a woman by threats, demanding she pay a debt they claimed her son owed them. Assulin sent her voice messages in which he distorted his voice and threatened her. Following the threats, the woman transferred 20,000 shekels. The prosecution requested that they be remanded until the end of proceedings.
