In Kyiv, installation of anti-drone protective nets has begun on one of the main bridges across the Dnipro River. This is the first such measure since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. According to AFP, in recent weeks two of the Ukrainian capital's eight bridges have been attacked by new-generation Russian jet drones. The protective nets, already widely used in eastern and southern areas near the front line, are intended to secure the city's vital transport arteries.
