The TA-90 index entered bear market territory this evening (Tuesday), after falling over 20% from its peak recorded in May this year. The flagship indices TA-35 and TA-125 fell by 0.6% and 0.9% respectively, while the TA-90 weakened by 2%, thus completing a decline of more than 20% from the peak. The TA-90 index is considered the third most important index on the stock exchange and serves as a complement between the TA-35 and TA-125. In the capital market, a decline of 10% from the peak is commonly called a "correction", and a decline of 20% or more a "bear market". Several indices on the stock exchange, including the banks and defense indices, have already entered this territory this year. The index entered a bear market after about three years of gains, which began shortly after October 7. At the same time, the real estate index reached a more than one-year low today.
