Hamas warns of occupation incitement against Gaza hospitals

Hamas warned against the Israeli occupation army's incitement against the remaining partially functioning hospitals in the Gaza Strip, and considered its claims about their use for storing combat means as "lies and slander." It called on mediators and the United Nations to act.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned on Tuesday against the Israeli occupation army's incitement against the remaining partially functioning hospitals in the Gaza Strip. The movement, in a statement, considered the occupation's claims that Hamas uses hospitals to store combat means as "lies and slander with no basis in truth." Hamas affirmed that the functioning hospitals in the Strip remain open to international and UN institutions, and considered the promotion of these claims as "a contempt for the international community," in light of what it described as crimes committed by the occupation against the health sector during the war. Hamas warned against using these claims as a pretext to target the remaining hospitals, holding the occupation responsible for the repercussions of any attack on medical facilities. The movement called on mediators, led by the US administration, to assume their responsibilities, and also demanded the United Nations act to stop what it described as incitement, and called on its institutions to visit the hospitals and inspect their conditions on the ground. Hamas stressed the need to protect medical facilities and their workers, and ensure the continued provision of health services to patients and the wounded.
