The founders of luxury brand Bryn Walker, spouses Brian Walker and Michelle Min, were found dead with gunshot wounds at their home in Oakland, California. Police have not confirmed this version, and the investigation continues.

The founders of luxury women's clothing brand Bryn Walker, spouses Brian Walker and Michelle Min, were found dead at their home in Oakland, California. The bodies with gunshot wounds were discovered on October 2 on Panoramic Way. Berkeley police responded to a call shortly after 10:30 a.m., but could not save the victims. A weapon was found at the scene, and a murder-suicide is not ruled out. Michelle Min's brother, Paul Min, told the Los Angeles Times that he believes Walker shot his sister and then himself. He said his brother-in-law had changed dramatically after allegedly losing millions of dollars in risky financial investments. According to Min, he and his sister decided Walker needed psychiatric help, as he allegedly suggested the three of them "end it all." On the day of the tragedy, Michelle Min was planning to commit her husband for psychiatric treatment. Oakland police have not confirmed the family's statements about Walker's mental state, financial losses, or possible causes of the tragedy. The investigation remains active. The couple met in Kansas in the 1980s and later moved to California. Bryn Walker has operated in Berkeley since 1992, with six company-owned stores and products sold in about 1,000 boutiques nationwide.
