Comedian Guy Hochman revealed today (Monday) a heartbreaking message sent by Captain Eliav Chaim Tzaflamos, may God avenge his blood, a combat officer in Battalion 603 of the 7th Brigade, to his girlfriend Inbar before he fell last weekend in southern Lebanon. In the message, Tzaflamos said he had bought tickets for both of them to Hochman's show scheduled for this coming Saturday night, October 17, and wrote: "Hoping I'll come home." Against the backdrop of a photo from a previous show showing the two smiling alongside Hochman, the comedian wrote in pain: "My heart is shattered. The engineering officer and the romantic man surprised her again with tickets to my show, but he will no longer arrive." Hochman dedicated a tribute to Eliav ahead of the show: "Eliav's seat, a hero of Israel, will remain reserved on Saturday night. We will place flowers and an engineering flag on it and stand in his honor. We will remember and commemorate." Tzaflamos, who fell in a operational accident in the Litani area when a Humvee overturned, was laid to rest on Friday at the military cemetery in Haifa. His girlfriend Inbar delivered a heartbreaking eulogy at the funeral.
