A 26-meter-long bi-articulated electric bus, designed to carry about 160 passengers, has arrived in Israel for the first time as part of a pilot by the National Public Transport Authority. The bus, model EU25 manufactured by CRRC, was unveiled at the "ONE POWER - 360° MOBILITY" event in Yavne by Auto Chen Mobility from the Blilious Group. The pilot, for which the company won a tender, will test its integration into BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) systems and mass transit lines being established by the Ministry of Transport. Transportation Minister Miri Regev is leading the effort to expand solutions on high-demand routes. During the trial, the bus's performance under real operating conditions, its compatibility with existing infrastructure, maneuverability, ride experience, and operational implications will be examined. The bus has four axles, a width of 2.55 meters, and is equipped with two electric motors producing 700 kW and LFP batteries with a capacity of 765 kWh manufactured by CATL. Blilious CEO Udi Adiri called it a "technological leap forward." Auto Chen CEO David Ohana emphasized collaborations with international manufacturers. The pilot joins previous company initiatives in clean propulsion, including electric, natural gas, and hydrogen buses.
