Likud minister who doesn't rule out a government headed by Eisenkot – his conditions
Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar (Likud) said in an interview that he does not rule out sitting in a government headed by Gadi Eisenkot, and would even propose a rotation agreement to Netanyahu if Eisenkot wins more mandates and leads a larger bloc. Zohar emphasized that his decision would be subject to Netanyahu's position.
Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar (Likud) said in an interview on the "Political Kitchen" program on the Knesset Channel that he does not rule out the possibility of sitting in a government headed by Gadi Eisenkot, and even raised the possibility of a rotation agreement between him and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Zohar clarified that in a scenario where Eisenkot gains an advantage both in the number of mandates and in the size of the political bloc, he would propose to Netanyahu to consider the possibility of sharing the prime minister's term. According to the minister, the possibility of cooperation is not objectionable in his eyes, but it is subject to two main conditions: Eisenkot winning a greater number of mandates, along with leading a political bloc larger than Netanyahu's. Zohar emphasized that he would not make an independent decision to join such a government without receiving Netanyahu's full approval, saying: "If Netanyahu agrees – I will follow him."
