Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman addressed today (Monday) the possibility of supporting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's appointment as president of the state, and categorically ruled it out. When asked about the possibility that Netanyahu would receive a pardon, Liberman replied: "If he wants a pardon - let him ask." The statement comes against the backdrop of the political deadlock and attempts to find a solution that would allow the formation of the next government. Liberman has made clear time and again that he will not agree to sit in a government with Netanyahu, and even ruled out the possibility of joining a unity government under his leadership.
