"Just Not a Bloc Government": Young People to Protest Outside the President's Residence and Call for a Unity Government

Hundreds of young people from the 'Fourth Quarter' and 'To the Flag' movements are expected to protest outside the President's Residence in Jerusalem on Wednesday and Thursday, calling for the formation of a broad unity government between Netanyahu and Eisenkot and avoiding a narrow bloc government.

Hundreds of teenagers and young people are expected to protest on Wednesday and Thursday outside the President's Residence in Jerusalem, ahead of the consultation round with faction representatives, calling for the formation of a broad unity government and avoiding a narrow bloc government. The initiative is led by the 'Fourth Quarter' movement, headed by Dr. Yoav Heller, and 'To the Flag' movement, headed by Matan Yaffe. The activists are planning a series of field actions, including protest shifts on Friday outside the homes of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yashar party chairman Gadi Eisenkot, calling for setting aside differences. The movements argue that the election results and the lack of a decisive outcome between the blocs necessitate the formation of a broad government to address security and social challenges. The chairman of the Fourth Quarter, Dr. Yoav Heller, called on the two to reach agreements: "There is a complete tie – the people do not want a full right-wing government nor a change government," and claimed that there is a majority in the Knesset for issues such as the conscription law, the fight against crime, and balanced judicial reform.
