A 44-year-old passenger of the cruise liner Odyssey of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) survived after 20 hours in open sea off the coast of Greece. The incident occurred on Friday morning southwest of the island of Zakynthos in the Ionian Sea. The woman jumped overboard, explaining it by a desire to "get off the ship." The Greek Coast Guard organised a search, during which an overturned lifebuoy was first found. Early on Sunday morning, the cargo vessel MSC Rossella III, sailing under the flag of Madeira and taking part in the operation, found the woman conscious inside a lifebuoy. She was taken aboard, given first aid and brought to hospital. Nothing is reported about her condition after hospitalisation. The passenger is a citizen of El Salvador. The article is based on statements by the Coast Guard and the AFP agency.
