A teacher shared in a teachers' group that a student's mother sends her daily messages containing insults, humiliation, and threats to file a complaint with the Ministry of Education. Hundreds of teachers responded with support and called on her to block the parent. This comes against the backdrop of a new Director General's circular that regulates the relationship between parents and teachers and allows separation between the private and professional channels.

A teacher shared in a teachers' group that a student's mother sends her daily messages containing insults, humiliation, and threats to file a complaint with the Ministry of Education. According to her, even the intervention of the school administration did not help. Hundreds of teachers responded with support, called on her to block the parent, and even claimed that this crosses a criminal line. This comes against the backdrop of a new Director General's circular that came into effect this year, led by Education Minister Yoav Kisch, which regulates the relationship between parents and teachers and allows separation between the private and professional channels. The Secretary General of the Teachers' Union, Yaffa Ben David, argues that the teacher's personal mobile phone is off-limits. Other teachers shared their personal experiences in setting boundaries with parents, emphasizing their right to privacy.
