An indictment was filed against a Tel Aviv police officer for unlawfully arresting a foreign civilian, detaining her for hours, and using his position to initiate a sexual relationship, including sex during his shift.
The Police Internal Investigations Department in the State Attorney's Office filed an indictment against a police officer from the Tel Aviv Lev station, for offenses of abuse of power and fraud and breach of trust. According to the indictment, on the night between June 9 and 10, 2025, the officer arrived at the apartment of a foreign civilian in Tel Aviv following a call to the emergency center. He unlawfully arrested her, handcuffed her, and held her at the station for hours without being interrogated. After her release, he followed her to her apartment and entered. Subsequently, he came to the apartment on three different occasions, during one of which he had sex with her. The officer also exploited his position to obtain intelligence information about an acquaintance of hers and pressured her to have sex in exchange for assistance in collecting a debt.
