For the first time since the expulsion: daycare centers will be established in Ganim and Kadim in Samaria

For the first time in 21 years, a government budget has been approved for the establishment of daycare centers in the communities of Ganim and Kadim in northern Samaria, which were rebuilt after the expulsion. The budget is intended for portable structures for early childhood, as part of the 'Million in Samaria' settlement plan.

For the first time in 21 years, a government budget has been approved for the establishment of daycare centers in the communities of Ganim and Kadim in northern Samaria, which were rebuilt after the expulsion. The budget, obtained from the Ministry for the Development of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience headed by Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf, is intended for large, upgraded portable structures for early childhood. In Ganim and Kadim, 30 families currently reside in each community, and a yeshiva high school has also opened in Ganim. This completes the return to all four northern Samaria communities that were evacuated: Homesh, Sa-Nur, Ganim and Kadim. Minister Wasserlauf said that 'the return to northern Samaria is a correction of a historical injustice' and that the budget is a step towards consolidating the settlement. Council head Yossi Dagan called it 'a historic correction and a tremendous catalyst for the growth of the communities.' The establishment of the daycare centers is intended to provide a solution for existing families and to allow additional families to join, as part of the 'Million in Samaria' plan.
