Mansour Abbas refuses to call Hamas a terrorist organization, citing safety concerns

Ra'am party leader Mansour Abbas stated he cannot label Hamas a terrorist group due to threats to his life and family, amid coalition talks. A party colleague revealed Abbas's response to a member's remark about Hamas, and outlined conditions for a potential political move.

Muhammad Majadala revealed in an interview on 103FM how Mansour Abbas responded to an unusual statement by a member of his party about Hamas. In a conversation with Barak Seri and Eli Ohana, Majadala presented the conditions that could open the door to a historic political move. Eli Ohana said he does not want an Arab party that has not seriously condemned Hamas and believes Hamas is a charity organization. Majadala argued that Arab society condemned the October 7 massacre and that Ra'am is a different party willing to support mandatory service for young Arabs and the disarmament of military organizations.
