IDF: Two soldiers lightly wounded by explosive device on engineering vehicle in southern Lebanon

The IDF Spokesperson reported that an engineering vehicle struck a Hezbollah explosive device in the security zone in southern Lebanon. Two soldiers were lightly wounded and evacuated for medical treatment. In response, the IDF attacked Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in several areas, including observation posts and infrastructure used to advance terrorist plots.

The IDF Spokesperson reported that earlier today (Saturday, September 19, 2026), an IDF engineering vehicle struck a Hezbollah explosive device in the security zone in southern Lebanon. As a result of the explosion, two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded. They were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified. In response, the IDF attacked several terrorist infrastructures in multiple areas in southern Lebanon, including observation posts and infrastructures from which Hezbollah operatives operated to advance and execute terrorist plots against the forces. The IDF Spokesperson stated that the forces remain deployed in the security zone in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove threats to Israeli citizens and IDF forces. It was further stated that the IDF is acting forcefully against Hezbollah's repeated attempts to harm the forces.
