The IDF's English-language spokesperson released on Thursday evening a letter written by Ibrahim, the son of Yahya Sinwar, who was eliminated two years ago. At the time of writing, his son was only 10 years old. The document was captured by IDF forces in the Gaza Strip in 2024. In the letter, addressed to his father, Ibrahim expresses longing for him, but also mentions that in his free time he "makes pistols, tanks, and Kalashnikovs from paper and cardboard." He further declared his desire to "hold a Kalashnikov and shoot Jews." The letter reads: "Dear father, I miss you very much! I want to hug you and see you victorious... When will you come sleep with me hugged?" Attached to the letter are drawings by Ibrahim, including weapons, tanks near the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel, and missiles launched toward Israel. According to the report, the letter and drawings illustrate how Sinwar's ideology is reflected in his children's education, revealing the influence of Hamas's values of hatred and violence on the younger generation in the Gaza Strip.
