"I counted 45 times": The judge rebuked the lawyers – Haddad responded cynically

Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman rebuked the lawyers in the Netanyahu trial for speaking simultaneously, after counting 45 instances in the protocol. Attorney Amit Haddad responded cynically: "Very serious, the prosecution should be told."

An unusual moment occurred at the opening of the hearing in the trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, when Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman rebuked the lawyers for repeated interruptions and simultaneous speaking in the courtroom. The judge said she had reviewed the protocol of the previous session and counted no fewer than forty-five instances where participants were recorded speaking at the same time. Netanyahu's defense attorney, Amit Haddad, responded cynically: "Very serious, the prosecution should be told." The rebuke did not prevent similar scenes later in the session, as exchanges erupted again between the defense and the prosecution over the order of questioning of the prosecution witness, former Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit. The judge had to intervene several times to regulate the right to speak.
