Brazilian social media influencer Thaíssa Figueiredo and her father were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder of businessman Glisário Oliveira Feitosa, a former mayoral candidate in Brazil. Feitosa was shot dead on May 14, 2026, in the city of João Pessoa in northeastern Brazil, outside a car dealership. Police arrested seven suspects in an operation dubbed "Ouroom" on October 28. The main suspicion against Figueiredo and her father is that a Chevrolet Onix linked to them was used to track the victim the day before the murder and on the day of the shooting. Investigators believe the murder occurred during an attempted robbery of gold jewelry and luxury watches, rather than a planned hit. The gang allegedly operated by identifying victims on social media and coordinating via a WhatsApp group. Additionally, money transfers of over two million reais were found in Figueiredo's accounts, inconsistent with her declared income. Her lawyer denies all allegations and claims the car was used by an ex-partner. The investigation continues.
