Highway 6: Eight vehicles collided – 18 casualties being treated at the scene

A severe traffic accident occurred this morning (Tuesday) on Highway 6 northbound, between the Iron and Ein Tut interchanges. Eight vehicles were involved in the collision, and 18 people were injured, all lightly. MDA teams summoned to the scene provided medical treatment to the casualties. Ten of the injured were evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, and eight additional casualties were evacuated from the scene. Traffic investigators of the Menashe district and police officers of the Traffic Division arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. Following the collision, Highway 6 was closed to northbound traffic, on the section between the Iron and Ein Tut interchanges, for the treatment of casualties, the work of investigators, and the removal of vehicles. The police called on drivers to avoid the area, obey police instructions, and choose alternative routes until the road is reopened.
