A warning about a suspected unidentified object infiltrating from Lebanon was activated this evening (Saturday) in the Arab al-Aramshe community in the Western Galilee. Many IDF forces were scrambled for extensive ground and air searches, including helicopters that were launched and noise was clearly heard in the area. The IDF cannot determine at this stage whether any item crossed the border, but as a precautionary measure, forces were rushed to a long list of communities: Adamit, Arab al-Aramshe, Ya'ara, Goren, Hanita, Shlomi, Gesher HaZiv, Sa'ar, Kabri, Avdon, Betzet, Liman, Nahariya, Evron, Ben Ami, Mitzvah, and Rosh HaNikra. The Northern Command stated that checkpoint positions are being deployed at several junctions without physical blocking at this stage, alongside ground and aerial searches. There are no special instructions for residents and civilian routine continues, but forces are conducting extensive searches with many assets. The incident occurs against the backdrop of ongoing security tensions on the northern border.
